They had spent all Sunday doing laundry, hanging out clothes, vacuuming and dusting, all part of the life of the emancipated. At five o'clock in the afternoon they were craving a bit of glamour, style and sophistication so they didn't think twice: shower and off they went. When they arrived at the place, PERFECT, just what they needed: a spacious interior with a perfect temperature, comfortable armchairs scattered throughout, a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, dim lighting and jazz in the background that allowed a relaxed and intimate conversation without the risk of being overheard by the neighbors at the next table. Despite having a wide range of cocktails, they opted for a snack: a portion of carrot cake for him, who likes sweet but in its right measure, and a chocolate tartlet for her, as it could not be otherwise. Two very different bets and, nevertheless, both sublime. The carrot cake, soft, fluffy, melted in the mouth leaving a cinnamon aftertaste. While in the tartlet, the harder and drier chocolate base was mixed with a sweet cream and the bitter taste of dark chocolate mousse. A combo hard to beat. They enjoyed it in silence, savoring the pleasure of eating well in a luxurious environment, and forgetting for a while that in less than 24 hours they would both return to their routine low-paying jobs. And that's what it was all about, finding places like this one where they could escape from their daily routine and share special moments while enjoying the luxury that comes with wellbeing.
